Polarized sunglasses are a fisherman’s ‘must have’. Polarization creates glare which makes it difficult to see what’s happening beneath the water’s surface, but polarized lens eliminate this problem.

Polaroid offer a range of fishing sunglasses to choose from with different color lenses for various fishing scenarios.

Yellow – see all the way to the bottom of shallow water. On overcast days this is especially useful as yellow uses all available light to enhance contrasts. Yellow is also ideal for low light conditions at dawn and dusk.

Brown – enhances grassy river or lake beds

Grey – ideal for spotting darker fish in deep water and for all kinds of weather.

Polaroid’s fishing sunglasses were found to be very effective in eliminating polarized light. We tested the hydro 36 pair which were also very comfortable. The prices are also very reasonable (under $100) for the quality of the product.
