PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) remind the community, particularly the subscribers of fixed line, to be careful to the false publication of Point Reward Program held by Telkom.

Head of Corporate Communication Telkom, Eddy Kurnia, said he has been reported about some party who has sent letter, SMS, and also notification by phone to the subscribers telling as if the subscribers have won prize of cash money, motor bike or even car from the Telkom’s Point Reward Program.

Eddy Kurnia confirmed, now Telkom was performing Telkom’s Point Reward Program. The draw is always announced in public in mass media or Telkom’s official site at www.telkom.co.id. “Besides, Telkom never sends letter, SMS, or phone call with the winners, and never asks for money to take the prize, Telkom official staff will directly meet the winners,” he explained.

Eddy Kurnia has requested the subscribers not to respond to some request to transfer some money, voucher, etc. for any reason (tax, delivery fee, etc). He explained, the false publication on behalf of Telkom as organizer of the point reward, quiz, or survey program spread in the community during these days has made Telkom as a responsible company to make notification for any promotion program and marketing in the form of point reward program, quiz or survey by mass media or electronic media to the community.

“We, therefore, ask the community to always be careful and clarify the notification by contacting Telkom’s official contact centre at 147 or the nearby Telkom Plaza,” explained Eddy Kurnia.

Telkom together with the press, police department, and consumers’ protection institution have actively made socialization and education to the community to be alert to any modus operandi of the false publication. This is expected to minimize criminal act in the same motif. For any report to the police department related to the false publication on behalf of Telkom, Telkom will then support cooperatively this report.
